The truth about the ‘Adam Lallana to be dropped’ reports

You may have seen some ‘headlines’ online on Thursday online claiming how Adam Lallana is supposedly going to be dropped for Saturday’s match against Spurs. Where they come from makes them look a bit daft.

If you ignore the fact Lallana has been one of Jurgen Klopp‘s most important players this season, and that he’s contributed more goals and assists combined than any other player except Sadio Mane, then perhaps you could see why he might be dropped, with his performances of late having dropped off.

However, the source for these claims is TalkSport radio host Micky Quinn, who claims: ““Klopp has read this Liverpool team the riot act. Since the defeat against Hull they have been on the training ground every day working to a pattern to beat Spurs.

“By all accounts that didn’t involve Adam Lallana, so whether he’s going to dropped, I’m not too sure.”
