The Liverpool squad used a rare spot of downtime on Monday evening to compete in a very different way – in the form of a 22-man rock, paper, scissors tournament.
Vice-captain James Milner acted as the official chair and adjudicator as two teams of 11 lined up to take turns in best-of-three face-offs and eliminate their opponent.
The process was simple: the side who lost all of their players first would be defeated and therefore subjected to a forfeit decided by Milner.
But could the No.7 keep control as each round was fiercely contested? Who would crack under the pressure? And whose technique was most impressive?
